Judicial Committee of Ajumako sworn in

The Omanhene of the Ajumako Traditional Area, Nana Kwamena Hammah Ababio II, has appealed to members of the reconstituted Judicial Committee of the Traditional Council to be fair and firm in the discharge of their duties. He said it was when they worked in truth that they would win the respect of the people and the number of chieftaincy cases would also reduce in the area. Nana Kwamena Hammah Ababio, President of the Traditional Council, said this when addressing the 19-member reconstituted Committee at Ajumako on Tuesday. The Judicial committee would be responsible for the settlement of chieftaincy disputes and other chieftaincy matters brought to the Traditional Council. He appealed to family heads and chieftaincy contractors to desist from undermining properly installed chiefs, adding that they should rather support them to improve the living standard of the people. Mr Benjaman Okain Tetteh, the Agona Swedru High Court Judge, swore the members into office.
