Farmer, 69, remanded for threatening to kill his friend

The Akim Oda magistrate's court has remanded Yaw Nkansah, 69, for threatening to kill Mr. Christian Kwesi Gyimah, a farmer. He pleaded not guilty and would reappear on December 2. Chief Inspector Kwadwo Ahenkrorah told the court that Mr. Gyimah and Nkansah lived at Akim Asene and that on November 11 a cocoa farmer engaged them to assist him to ferment his cocoa beans on his farm. He said while breaking the cocoa pods Nkansah accused Mr Gyimah of showing interest in his wife. He chased him with a cutlass but the man who engaged them cooled tempers. But in the evening of the same day the accused went Mr Gyimah's house and left a message that he would kill him. He made a report to the police and the accused was arrested.
