NIMA: 16-Yr-Old Boy Murders Rival Over Girlfriend

Abu Nartey, 16, and a resident of Nima, has been charged by the Nima District Police Station for murdering another teenager, for allegedly snatching his girlfriend.

Even though Abu Nartey, during interrogation, denied committing the crime, police say their forensic investigation at the crime scene disclosed that Abu Nartey attacked the deceased.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Police (DSP) Paul Bampoe, District Commander of the Nima Police Station, told The Chronicle that at about 11 pm in October 2017, the deceased, Fauzi Muhammad, 18 years, was hanging around with Aisha Kasuntu Lane at a notorious location for immoral acts called Lesson pharmacy at Nima.

Abu Nartey, who was then at a café, received information that his girlfriend, Aisha, was hanging around with the victim, and so he rushed to the location and attacked the victim with a jack Knife, without any confrontation from the victim.

DSP Bampoe said Abu Nartey, after stabbing Fauzi, bolted, but was held by some residents who nearly lynched him, but fort the timely intervention of some responsible residents, who marched the suspect to the police station and reported the matter.

DSP Bampoe said Fauzi Muhammed was pronounced dead on arrival at the 37 Military Hospital.
