Volta NPP Women Organiser Begs Naabu Over Verbal Assault

Embattled Women’s Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Volta Region, Aku Sika Nkansah, has rendered an unqualified apology to the Northern Regional Chairman of party, Daniel Bugri Naabu.

Madam Nkansah, who is also the Volta Regional Coordinator of the National School Feeding Programme, some weeks ago, poured invectives on Mr Naabu in a widely circulated audio recording, for his incessant brawl with some zonal coordinators of the feeding programme in the Northern Region, including the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Otiko Afisa Djaba.

Her verbal assaults, which were deemed to be in a very bad taste, prompted an emergency regional executive meeting over the weekend, where she was rebuked and asked to apologise to Mr Naabu and the entirety of the NPP.

“We wish to put on record that at an emergency meeting of the regional officers held in Ho, we made it known to Madam Aku Sika that her behaviour was unacceptable and must therefore, render an unqualified apology to Mr Bugri Naabu, the entire hierarchy of the NPP and the people of Northern Region, the national party and H.E. the President of the Republic,” the party stated in a release issued by the regional Secretary, Joseph Homenya.

Barely, 24 hours after that the beleaguered Madam Nkansah released another audio recording in which; she was begging Mr Naabu and the NPP fraternity for her unsavory remarks.

“I brought out a language on an audio which was not nice to say against honourable Bugri Naabu, I’m coming before the party to beg all of you in the NPP and Honourable Naabu himself, to find space in his heart to forgive me, I know I did not do well and spoke wrongly. To the entire NPP party in the Volta and Northern Regions, and our President, I am very sorry,” she said in the audio.
