NDC Creating Problems For Free SHS - Adomako Baafi

Acting Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Yaw Adomako Baafi, has said that the false stories hovering around the free SHS are deliberate makings of members of the NDC to make the policy unpopular.

“Members of the NDC are the main cause of the distortions facing the free Senior High School [SHS] policy,” he stated.

He said this daily distortions from their camp are targeted to rub-off the good deeds of this government, but they will not succeed should they continue those propagandist moves.

According to him, the NDC claim to have started a progressively free SHS for day students with an amount of GH¢ 54 being paid by the government for each student.

“This utterance made by them is never true, yes, they allocated such a fund to be paid, yet they never paid even 1 pesewa out of it.

“Those debts have now been cleared by President Akufo-Addo’s government, this shows how committed this government is to better our educational sector,” he said on Kasapa FM.

Adomako Baafi pointed out that the country needs to move forward therefore we cannot say we must get everything perfect as a nation before starting the Free SHS, like how members of the largest opposition party are saying.
