Court Issues Warrant For Arrest Of Guest House Director
An Accra District Magistrate Court has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of the Director of E. A. Guest House.
The Director, Winful Theresa, allegedly failed to submit to the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) contribution reports of her employees.
The warrant was sanctioned by the court after the accused failed to attend court proceedings on two occasions.
Mr. Emmanuel Darlington Drayi, SSNIT Prosecutor, Weija branch, said two separate summonses were served on the accused, and investigations indicated that Theresa failed to submit the contribution reports on her employees.
The court heard that the offence was contrary to Sections (83) (1) (d) (h) of the National Pensions Act, Act 2008 (ACT 766) as amended by Section (7) of the National Pensions Act (Amendment) Act 2014(Act 883).
He told the court presided by Dr. Worlanyo Kotoku that the guest house was captured by SSNIT with the registration N0. 201002084
