Don Moen Live in Ghana

It will be his second performance in Ghana when Don Moen plays on the 12th and 13th of December as scheduled. The first concert is scheduled to be held at the Independence Square and the second, at the Accra International Conference Centre. In an article like this one, the writer would usually summarize the profile of that artist whos visiting. But in this case, I dont think that would be necessary at all because I cant find one modern day Ghanaian, Christian or not, whos not been blessed by Don Moens Ministry. His praise is warm, his worship is pure, his spirit if Gentle and his music is so smoooooth. I had decided to make this write-up a very short one until the prices for this up-coming Don Moen concert was announced. The tickets for the Independence square-show costs GHC 10 and the second concert tickets are going for GHC 40 and 50.When I first heard the prices, my eye balls immediately grew bigger and my eye brows were raised so high. Whaaat? Though the tickets for the Accra International Conference Center show are quite expensive, I dont have much of a problem with that since it has been the norm for international music superstars who visit Ghana to perform at lower rates at very big auditoria and at bigger rates at in smaller auditoria. My dear readers, Im sure youll second me when I say the rates for the Independence Square concert are a bit too high. On the 4th of this month, Don moen, Donnie McClurckin, Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, Fred Hammond, Bebe winans, Cece winans and a host of other international Gospel Musicaians performed in Lagos and from what Im gathering, it was FREE. So having Don perform at a place as big as a stadium for GHC 10 is to me very high. Well I dont know who sponsored the galaxy of superstars who performed in Nigeria last week and I dont know the financial strength of those who are sponsoring this one, but I still think the ticket price for Dons Independence square show should be a little lower and I wish Functions Ghana, the organizers would do something about it before its too late. That aside, I think it will be an amazing experience and almost every single Ghanaian should love to be there.
