I Will Not Cooperate With Police – Abronye DC

The Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe ‘Abronye DC’  has broken his silence on the alleged attack that nearly cost his life.

The outspoken youth organizer has served notice he will not cooperate with the Atebubu-Amantin District Police Command which has been investigating the assault case against him.

He says he does not trust the police to do a thorough and professional work because they have refused to grant him audience since the attack.

“I won’t cooperate with the Police today; not even tomorrow. I was attacked by some NPP members but I’ve decided to keep this issue to myself and I won’t report to the police. In fact, I’m still at the toilet, they should come for my statement there” he said on Okay FM.

Abronye DC who had expressed interest in contesting the National Youth Organizer position of the NPP party, was physically assaulted in Atebubu where he was scheduled to meet with some executives of the party.

He has since blamed the attack on close confidants of the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, one Jafaru Yakubu.

Abronye has been a thorn in the flesh of the Asoma Cheremeh, calling for his dismissal from office on the grounds of corruption allegations.

The outspoken Youth Organiser revealed how he ignored earlier  warnings not to visit Atebubu as part of his campaign program to meet party executives in that area.

“They used metal bars to beat me; Jafa, the alleged lead attacker, warned that they would kill me for demanding the dismissal of the Minister. They hit my hand with the metal bar” he added.

This notwithstanding, Abronye DC said he will not write any statement at the police station because “I don’ think they will do any proper investigations because they are in bed with the Regional minister,” he said.
