Speaking on Abusua FM's Abusua Nkommo, Owusu Bempah claimed if former President John Mahama is endorsed by his party (NDC) for the 2020 polls, he will lose because of the good work President Akufo-Addo is doing.

"Quote me everywhere, I am saying if the NDC endorses Mahama for the 2020 polls and he wins I will resign from Politics because the good job President Akufo- Addo is doing is enough to predict Mahama’s defeat. Nana Akufo-Addo managed to introduce an unprecedented mind boggling policy direction that will leave an indelible mark in the minds of Ghanaians by implementing the Free SHS policy within just seven months. This same NDC people including Mahama and Asiedu Nketiah categorically stated that there was no way Nana Addo and his NPP government were going to make the Free SHS Policy possible but what are we seeing now, hasn’t Akufo-Addo made justice to what he kept telling Ghanaians for many years’’ he stated.
