22 Police Officers end Pre-Sat Training Course

Twenty-two Police Officers had ended a maiden pre-selection training of trainers course in Kumasi. The two-week German capacity building Programme was attended by officers from Upper East and Upper West, Northern, Brong-Ahafo and Ashanti regions. It was designed to provide the participants with the requisite skills in presentation, scoring and preparation of a final report. Addressing the session, Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr Patrick E. Timbillah, Ashanti Regional Police Commander, said pre-sat had always been the base from which peace-keeping missions takes off. He said it was therefore an important and critical requirement for the determination of qualified peace-keepers. The Regional Police Commander expressed gratitude to the German Government for continuous support to the Ghana Police Service and asked for continued support. He urged the Officers to use the knowledge gained to help mentor other personnel. Chief Superintendent John Owiredu Nkansah, In-Charge of International Relations stressed the need for similar training to be organised for Police drivers. Superintendent Victor Adu Sarpong, the Course leader commended the facilitators for the efforts they put into the training. The participants were presented with certificates.
