2018 SoNA: The Black Star Is Shining - Akufo-Addo

President Nana Akufo-Addo says the black star of Ghana is shining.

According to him, the star is so glowing under his administration; a reason for the coming of various Heads of State and distinguished personalities to the country since the inception of the NPP government.

Giving his second State of the Nation Address on Thursday at Parliament, President Akufo-Addo was optimistic of the fortunes of Ghana under his able leadership together with his appointees as he steers the affairs of the State.

He touted the blossoming image of the country saying "it explains the warmth with which I am greeted wherever I go in the world. Mr. Speaker, a country’s image tells on the most unlikely things and events. It could be because of the exploits of a football team like Brazil. It could be because of the exploits of one athlete Frankie Fredericks from Namibia and Maria Mutola from Mozambique. It could because of a highlife connoisseur like E.T Mensah for Ghana, a singing trumpeter like Hugh Masekela. The image of a country can be made forever…”
