President Akufo-Addo Expresses Concern About Recent Spate Of Accidents

President Nana Akufo-Addo has asked his ministers to draft a road map to curb road accidents in the country.

President Akufo-Addo expressed the fact that he is “very concerned about the recent spate of road accidents, and the ensuing deaths and injuries”.

He said “asked the Ministers for the Interior, Roads and Highways, and Transport to meet and come out with proposals immediately, to address this critical issue in order to improve the safety of our roads”.

Mr Akufo-Addo made the announcement via his Facebook wall following an accident on Tuesday, February 13 which claimed the life’s of eight people.

He added that ”I am very concerned about the recent spate of road accidents, and the ensuing deaths and injuries. I have asked the Ministers for the Interior, Roads and Highways, and Transport to meet and come out with proposals immediately, to address this critical issue in order to improve the safety of our roads.”
