Car Owner Arrested Over Kids’ Death

The woman, in whose car the bodies of three kids were found at Elmina in the Central Region, has been grabbed by the police.

Shiny Amissah Dadziebo is the proprietress of Holy Wood Preparatory School at Taterim and owns a white Kia Optima saloon car registered CR 234-13.

According to Joy News, Madam Dadziebo told the police in her statement that she parked the car on the walled compound of her school on Friday and didn’t go to it until Monday.

On Monday morning as she approached her car to take a pupil to the hospital, she saw the bodies and raised an alarm.

The deceased children have been identified as Maame Akua, 6 years; Fii, 5 and Nana Yaw, 3.

Their parents told the police that the kids left home for church on Sunday and never returned home.

The windows and windscreens had to be shattered by residents to quickly bring out the children, but it was too late.

The bodies have been deposited at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for autopsy while the police have initiated investigation into the case.

Police say they did not see any mark of assault on the bodies of the deceased – an account some residents dispute.

Some people who spoke to Joy Fm claimed that they found some parts of their bodies, including their tongues, removed.

The grandmother of one of the deceased who reportedly collapsed upon seeing the unpleasant video of the lifeless bodie, want the police to get justice for the innocent children.

After her revival from the state of unconsciousness, the elderly woman said she would call on the gods to bring the perpetrators to book.

Meanwhile, the regional police commander, COP Paul Awuni, says his outfit had gathered forensic evidence from the crime scene and was progressing it for investigation.

Central Regional Minister, Kwamena Duncan, has promised the bereaved families to give them all the support in the burial of the children.
