Major Mahama Trial: Court Orders Vodafone To Produce Call Records Of Assembly Man

The Accra High Court has ordered Vodafone Ghana Limited to produce the phone call records of William Baah, one of the accused persons standing trial for the murder of Major Maxwell Mahama.

Baah was the Assemblyman of Denkyira Obuasi at the time Major Mahama was killed.

He is standing trial with 14 others for the death of the military officer.

At Thursday’s sitting, the court, presided over by Mrs Justice Mariana Owusu, specifically ordered Vodafone to produce records of telephone calls made by Baah on May 29 and 30, 2017.

The order was directed at the Head of Disclosure Department of Vodafone.

According to the court, the order was to help Baah put up an effective defence.

The order followed an application by Baah’s lawyer, Mr George Bernard Shaw.
