"Don't Underestimate Me Or Anas"...We're Ready For Any "Blow Man"

Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, has issued a stern warning to the Assin Central Member of Parliament Kennedy Agyapong and the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to stop dragging him (Baako) and Anas Aremeyaw Anas through the mud.

Speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, Kweku Baako cautioned the NPP guru not to underestimate them because they are capable of defending themselves and have evidence to prove their credibility.

Kweku Baako's submissions come on the heels of wild allegations made by Kennedy Agyapong that Anas is an "extortionist and evil" and daring the investigative journalist not to travel out of Ghana.

He swore to end the career of Anas Aremeyaw Anas and to expose his "criminal" activities to Ghanaians and the entire world.

"The guy is not genuine. He's blackmailing people. He's an extortionist, taking monies from people. He is evil. He’s an extortionist. He is a blackmailer.

"The guy shouldn't travel. The guy should not leave this country because I will take him on one on one and bring the evidence out. Because he's never been fair to the people that he has destroyed and institutions that he has destroyed in this country for taking monies...We're not small boys. We are human beings. We're all Ghanaians", he stressed on Adom TV's "Badwam".

But according to Kweku Baako, Kennedy Agyapong is fighting a battle he cannot win.

To him, Kennedy Agyapong is making "ugly noises", but swiftly added that he and Anas are willing to challenge any person who says he's a "Tarzan".

This is democracy. There is enough space, enough room for ugly noises as well as free speech…Of course, he’s not going to win…It’s not mere allegations you make. It’s not noise you make on air, on radio or TV”.

Kweku Baako further took a swipe at some members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for attacking Anas' credibility, claiming his exposé on the rot at the Sports fraternity is targeted at collapsing the current administration and to make President Nana Akufo-Addo unpopular to Ghanaians.

I am a loyalist of Nana Akufo-Addo and I’m not ashamed to say so at this point. He’s my friend. I’ve known him for years. It’s getting to forty something years but I’m not an NPP member. So, the NPP people out there who are attacking me and attacking Anas; they’re entitled to that. But they should not…underestimate me or Anas or two of us put together.

“They should never underestimate. They should not underrate in terms of the capability to defend ourselves and to challenge anybody who says he’s a blow man; a Tarzan…We’re ready, willing and capable of standing the pressure and rolling the pressure backwards”, he warned.
