Kwesi Nyantakyi Should "Leave Football For Ghanaians" - JJ Speaks

Former Deputy Power Minister, John Jinapor has asked the embattled President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kwesi Nyantakyi to "leave football for Ghanaians".

Following undercover journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas' exposé on the rot in the country's football administration; the GFA Boss was allegedly engaging in some criminal activities to transact business with some undercover foreign 'investors'.

The video showed Kwesi Nyantakyi using the names of President Nana Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the business transaction and also accepting an amount of $65,000 as a gift.

Speaking on 'Kokrokoo' on Peace FM, John Jinapor wondered why the management of the GFA has failed to release an official statement on the issue to apparently condemn and take punitive steps to sanction Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi.

According to him, the FA shouldn't sit idle over the issue, also stressing that the Association needs to be wiped out.

“I am surprised that up till now, the GFA hasn’t taken any steps. By now, the Ethics Committee sould have issued a statement . . . Eventually, we have to clean this FA . . . I’ll support the call that the FA, on their own volition, they should begin to take some action to restore confidence,” he said.

The former Deputy Power Minister advised Kwesi Nyantakyi to eat humble pie and "leave football for Ghanaians because football is the soul of Ghanaians”.
