The Agona Swedru Circuit Court has fined a 34-year-old driver 700.00 Ghana cedis for careless and inconsiderate driving and negligently causing harm. James Annor pleaded guilty. Police Chief Inspector Kwame Akannah told the court presided over by Mr Nathaniel E. K Osam that on January 25 2008 Annor, driving a bus, knocked down a male pedestrian who name was given as Francis Wosoryi, aged 78. Chief Inspector Akannah said the victim sustained injuries and taken to the Winneba Government Hospital but was pronounced died shortly on arrival.
