KK Peprah Picks Doctorate Degree

Kwame Kyei Peprah, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of K.K. Peprah Company Limited, a wholly-owned Ghanaian firm which deals in roofing sheets and building materials, has received an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Philosophy from Vinnitsa State Pedagogical University of Ukraine.

The degree was presented to him on Saturday in Accra under the auspices of the Confederation of Governance Assessment Institute (COGAI) and its affiliate partner, Bureau of Research on Governance, Commerce and Administration.

It was accordingly in recognition of his selfless contributions to the empowerment of humanity and the development and strengthening of cooperation between Ukraine and Ghana in the areas of business and entrepreneurship.

The doctorate awarded to Mr. Peprah was reportedly approved by the Ministry of Education, Ukraine.

Commenting on the degree in a post-event interview with DAILY GUIDE, Director in-charge of Strategic Communications, Business and International Relations, COGAI, Isaac Rockson said “Dr. Peprah has contributed immensely to the world of business in Ghana and has also left a positive footprint in the lives of several Ghanaians, especially children and their mothers.

According to him, “We have realized that from time to time he goes to hospitals, especially children’s wards. He takes care of people who deliver and cannot cater for their children. He tries to give them a helping hand. He also goes to prison yards to support those in prison.”

Mr. Rockson added that “he (Peprah) has been helping several people, paying their school fees, assisting them in so many ways. He has been helping churches; he has been helping pastors, helping people in all walks of life to ensure that their livelihood is improved.”

He added that “notwithstanding these, Dr. Peprah, per the records that we gathered and presented to the Vinnitsa State Pedagogical University, has put innovation in the technological world in Ghana.”

He observed that “Per his background checks, he started from nowhere but with hard work as an industrious man, has been able to prove his mettle beyond all reasonable doubt in the area in which he works. In the building technology business, he has brought a lot of innovations, adding value to building technology.”

COGAI, headed by Professor Victor Kwabena Yankah, is the organizer of the Pan-African Awards worldwide.

Prof. Yankah said his outfit was working hard to reward patriotic Ghanaians like Dr. Peprah who have contribute immensely to the betterment of humanity.

According to him, a major challenge facing Ghana is the lack of sacrificial spirit by Ghanaians, especially the youth.

Many Ghanaian youth, he said, are not willing to sacrifice for the nation, and are always looking up to government to do for them instead of what they can do for the advancement of the state.

He stressed the need to reward those who are ‘laying down’ their lives for the good of Ghana.
