Desmond Elliot Premieres New Movie In Ghana

All roads will lead to the Silverbird Cinema come Friday January 8, when movie enthusiasts from all walks of life will troop in to catch the premiere of Desmond Elliots new movie with producer Emem Isong titled Guilty Pleasures. The movie was first screened in the latter part of November last year at the Silverbird galleria in Nigeria. Ghanas event thus makes it the second of such screenings. The premiere is the first of the New Year and is expected to whip up the premiering spree that has gripped Ghallygold (new name for Gallywood) since last year. The heart-wrenching tale of love, deceit and betrayal is the second movie Desmond Elliot is premiering in Ghana. Last year he premiered his movie Before The Light at TV3s GAMA Film Executive Theatre. He had already marketed his first movie Reloaded in Ghana. Guilty Pleasures will be is his third movie with Emem Isong to break into Ghanas market. Among the movies cast are Ramsey Nouah as Teso, Mercy Johnson as Boma, Ghanas Majid Michel as Bobby, Nse Ikpe Etim as Liz, Omoni Oboli as Nse, and Desmond Elliot himself as Mr. Okoro. Rated above Reloaded, Guilty Pleasures is a story about a desperate and assertive housewife, Liz, who is locked up in a boring and dreary marriage and is confronted with the challenge of dealing with a self-conceited and controlling but loving husband, Teso, and an irritating brother in-law. In search of fulfillment, respect and satisfaction, Liz finds herself emotionally attracted to the exuberant brother-in-law she detests. The movie is co-directed by Daniel Ademinokan and Desmond Elliot. Confirmed reports indicate that the tall, dark Nollywood actor and a number of the crew will be in town for the premiere.
