“Handlers Of Mahama Should Stop Housing Him In A Fool’s Paradise”- Wontumi

Statement by former President Mahama, to the effect that the hardships Ghanaians are going through  hardships under the Akufo-Addo government, is beyond imagination has been laughed off by the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party.

In an address to  delegates of the National Democratic Congress  (NDC) in the Asokwa, Oforikrom and Manhyia North constituencies, former President Mahama is reported to have said that the NPP created a false sense that it could out-perform the NDC in government but after winning the last elections, the policies of the government have resulted in untold hardship, with every sector of the economy taking a hit.

But according to Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, he is gradually getting to know that the handlers of former President Mahama were doing him a great disservice by feeding him with inaccurate information all the time

He wondered why the former President could easily forget he left behind a mountainous mess as President and quickly turn around to blame President Akufo-Addo’s young government for creating the hardships he (Mahama) is talking about.

“Mahama is living in a fool’s paradise and this is because his handlers have refused to brief him correctly on the daily happenings in this country.”

Touching on a recent achievement of President Akufo-Addo, Chairman Wontumi remarked that former President Mahama’s inability to end clashes at Afram Plains has been resolved by the current President.

“I want to remind Mahama that just recently, a cattle ranch was established by the government of President Akufo-Addo in Wawase, in the Afram Plains to help end the incidents of clashes between local farmers and nomadic herdsmen.

Under his (Mahama) watch, his incompetence made the situation grow worse and he has no shame to talk about harships. How can a nation prosper if there is no peace? President Akufo-Addo has demonstrated that Mahama was a lame former President”, he said.

He went further to state that the increasing numbers of Ghanaian children who have gained access to Senior High Schools across the country, since 2017, is evident of the fact the Free Senior High School policy is working.
