Navarrete Is No Threat To Dogboe

Mr. Yoofi Boham, Technical Director of Team Dogboe, has they are fully concentrated on the upcoming bout, as Isaac "Royal Storm" Dogboe (20-0, 14 Ko's) defends his title for the second time on December 8 in the United States of America (USA).

The defending World Boxing Organisation (WBO), Super Bantamweight Champion would take on Mexico’s Emanuel Navarrete (25-1, 22Ko's) in highly anticipated bout, at the Madison Square Garden, USA.

According to Mr. Boham, their camp was not perturbed by the good fight record of the boxer, as they remained confident of victory.

"Navarette is one year younger than Dogboe, which means we are going to fight a much younger boxer this time round, so they might be of equal strength, but I believe Dogboe can overpower him.

"He has very good fight record and has gone the distance only three times and this demonstrates how good he is, having lost only once, but we are fully concentrated on the bout," Mr. Boham said at the official media launch of the bout in Accra.

He also revealed that, Dogboe plans to move up to the featherweight division, after his bout in April next year.

According to him, Dogboe wants to the featherweight division where most Ghanaian boxers which includes Azumah Nelson, D.K Poison among others, who have been successful in that division in the past.
