Dr Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, a Presidential Aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has asked Ghanaians to ignore news of his investment in Menzgold.
“Contrary to some fake Social Media postings making the rounds, I, will like to note that I didn’t invest even one pesewa in Menzgold.
“If elected as NDC flagbearer and eventually as President of Ghana, I shall ensure more proactive action by Ghana’s financial regulators in order to protect unsuspecting Ghanaians against fraudulent and criminally minded entrepreneurs,” he said.
Dr Spio-Garbrah, who briefed the media in Accra on the purported list circulating on social media, urged Ghanaians to be more circumspect when presented with investment opportunities which were too good to be true.
“Having studied International Banking and Finance, and with professional working experience in such reputable global financial institutions, I have been trained to avoid investing in any institutions whose interest rates and other promises do not conform to reality,” he stated.
