The Presidency Woes DeepenHannah for Chief Of Staff?

Henry Martey Newman the Chief of Staff, at the Presidency, appears to be on his way out, and Hanna Tetteh, the Minister for Trade and Industry is being considered to replace him. Castle sources have told The Crystal Clear Lens. Although our sources could not assign any reasons for Mr. Newmans possible removal, our checks have indicated that, though he is very competent for the job, he is politically disabled when it comes to some swift and quick decisions and actions at the Presidency. Mr. Newmans appointment as the Chief of Staff had raised some initial mix reaction across the political divide, particularly among the members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). While, some media practitioners had questioned Mr. Newmans political strength to withstand the challenges that go with the office, social and political commentators have also raised eyebrows about this political ability to manage President John Mills and the political kingpins in the NDC. The last quarter of 2009, Mr. Newman, the former Chief Executive Officer of the COCOBOD, nearly incurred the wrath of his long time pal, President John Mills on many occasions. One was that, he had delayed in paying workers at the Castle, the seat of the government. Meanwhile, our information has it that, Ms. Hanna Tetteh has found favour with President Mills to be the substitute to Mr Newman. But, somehow, President Mills move to bring in Hanna Tetteh has met a wall of sceptism both at the Presidency and at the party level including some serious minded business people in the country, according to our scout. The source has told the paper that some party gurus including senior staff at the Presidency and in the government are apprehensive about Hanna, the former Director of Communications of the party, as the perfect substitute. Hannas human relations with the ordinary party members-foot soldiers, the source asserted, appears to be extremely discriminatory, and she has also been described as a snobbish and unfit person to occupy the top most position of government. They have however, appealed to President Mills to reconsider his decision.
