VIDEO: Ayawaso West Wuogon By-Election: Delali Brempong Sexist Comments Infuriates Constituents

Some sexist comments allegedly made by the NDC’s candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Kwasi Delali Brempong seems to have angered some women in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.

According to them, they will exercise their power against him come 31st of this month where a bye election will be held to replace the deceased MP.

In an interview over the weekend, Mr. Brempong in assessing his chances told the media that he was confident of winning the upcoming elections. He went on to say that the "NPP had made a huge mistake electing a woman" as their candidate for the elections.

His remarks seems not to have gone down well with some women in the constituency.

Many people are wondering why the NDC's candidate thinks a 'woman' would be a disadvantage to the NPP in the elections. Some Women groups have thus threatened to make the NDC's candidate pay dearly for his 'sexist' comments.

The Ayawaso West Wuogon will be going to the polls on Thursday, January 31, 2019  to elect a replacement for the Late Hon. Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko who passed on recently.

All indications show that Thursday's election is a straight fight between the NPP's  Lydia Seryam Alhassan and Kwesi Delali Brempong of the NDC.

Analysts have however tipped Madam Lydia Alhassan to emerge winner in the elections.
