Ghana Was "Safe & Peaceful, Until NPP Through Lies Was Voted Into Power - Fmr. NDC MP

Hon. Abeiku Crentsil, former Member of Parliament for Ekumfi Constituency, has added his voice to the call on H.E Nana Akufo Addo, the President of the Republic, to take the bull by the horn and act to stop the recent spate of killings and kidnappings that have rocked the country.

The former lawmaker asserts during the previous administration the country was "safe and peaceful" until Ghanaians "mistakenly" got hood-winked by the NPP's lies and voted them (NPP) into power.

"Kidnapping was something of the past. But currently, the rate at which the criminal act is escalating, he fears that if the government does not do something about it, will get out of hand.....as a result of unemployment, under-employment and rushed educational policies, a lot of the youth will have no option than to resort to such vices just to earn a living," he said.

Abeiku Crenstil further beseeched the government to find a lasting solution to unemployment and security situation.

"Government of Ghana should engage all the security agencies and the ministries in charge of security to draw new ways and solutions to bring these killings and Kidnapping to an end before it becomes a norm," he added.
