NDC Has Started Misbehaving Again – Nana B

National Youth Organizer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, affectionately called Nana B, has lashed out at the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) following allegations by the latter that the ruling party plans to manipulate the Ayawaso West Wuoguon by-election scheduled for Thursday, January 31st.

He insists the NPP has an enviable reputation and would not engage in underhand electoral practices that would tarnish its image in the constituency, and further accused the opposition party of raising false alarm.

According to him, there is nothing like voter transfer or new registration in any by-election, pointing out that if it was possible, John Dumelo and Oye Lithur would not have been prevented from contesting the by-election in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.

"John Dumelo and Oye Lithur would have succeeded in contesting the NDCs primaries to elect a candidate for the by-election in the constituency. For they all tried to transfer their votes from their various polling centres which was not possible and later decided not to contest," he stated.

Speaking on Okay FM's Ade Akye Abia Programme, he maintained that NPP has no intention of rigging any election and is fully convinced that the NDC knowing the results of the by-election will not go in their favor, has resorted to propagandering as a way of preparing the minds of their followers for the obvious defeat.

“We have not done any vote transfer or registration…The process is free and fair and I will like to urge all the electorates to have a clear mind to exercise their civic rights on Thursday at their various polling stations.

"The evidence is clear. Yesterday (Tuesday), the final rally at Bawaleshie sent a clear signal to the NDC about the good works of Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo’s administration....and that has shaken them (NDC) to the core," he said.

He pleaded with the good people of Ayawaso West to vote massively for Madam Lydia Alhassan to continue the good works the late Hon. Agyarko left behind.
