The Area Head for Suame Church of Pentecost, Apostle Michael Collins Asiedu has said the Ghanaian Society has suffered for far too long the indiscriminate disposal of waste therefore, individuals must refrain from the bad act.

The apostle has explained that human activities have paraded pollution unto the environment and water bodies which has endangered our lives.

"Indiscriminate disposal of waste and human excreta have and continues to affect our environment and our very lives".

The application of "harmful substances" to land, water bodies, air among others does not make appropriate or useful for humans and all other creatures.

He has said again, God created humankind to use natural resources in a responsible manner, as well as live in harmony with all other creation. However, "fallen humanity in our greed and selfishness and carelessness are abusing these resources to our own detriment and destruction".

As a result, the Church of Pentecost as part of their responsibility of being stewards of God's creation, environmental care and assisting the transformation of Ghana, the Suame Central, "Tetelestai Assembly" in conjunction with the Suame Municipal Assembly (SMA) has officially launched the "Environmental Care Campaign (ECC)" under the theme: "My environment, my responsibility", to help improve on sanitation in the municipality. 

The church is ready to demonstrate it commitment to the Vision 2023 Document by educating its members on the dangers of environmental pollution and degradation on the society so as to combat the overheated poor sanitation in the country.
