Leaked Tape Invitation: CID Just Wasting Our TIme - Angry Asiedu Nketia Blasts Police

General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC], Johnson Asiedu Nketia vowed today at the police CID headquarters to leave the premises together with party members if they are unable to meet any officer after waiting for over three[3] hours.

According to him he sees no reason for the invitation granted the NDC Chairman to the police CID headquarters if they knew they were not ready for them[NDC].

According to him, the Chairman of the party, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo has just been invited to the police CID headquarters on an issue they are yet to be informed about, therefore as a party they cannot waste most active hours of the day at the police headquarters when they have a lot to do.

“We are on a serious business to remove this party out from power and have no time to waste here at the police headquarters after waiting for more than three[3] hours," Asiedu Nketia told Joy FM News in an interview.

General Mosquito as he is affectionately called said he has suggested to the lawyers of the party and that of Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, to confront the CID boss that they could no longer wait after being told to sit and wait for the Deputy CID for proceedings of their party Chairman’s invitation.

“I am suggesting to the lawyers that since the letter is an invitation and not under arrest they should communicate to them that if they are not ready for us then we are going back to keep working on our projects, if they are ready for us they should call us back,” he stated.

The National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reported himself to the headquarters of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

He was accompanied by some executives of the party as well as Lawyer Tony Lithur and former Attorney General in the erstwhile Mahama administration, Marietta Brew Appiah-Oppong.

Mr Ofosu-Ampofo has been invited by the CID to answer questions in relation to a leaked audio recording alleged to be his voice and issues that have been raised in it.
