Rev. Owusu Bempah Invited By Police CID

The founder of Glorious Word and Power Ministries International, Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah is expected to respond to an invitation from the Police CID today (Monday).

Rev. Owusu Bempah has been invited by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to respond to why he attacked staff of Radio XYZ.

The renowned pastor reportedly stormed the premises of Radio XYZ with gun-wielding men and threatened to kill host of the station’s ‘Inside Politics’ show, Salifu Maase Mugabe following some comments made by the latter.

According to management of Radio XYZ, the pastor manhandled staff when he was restricted from entering the studio to find Mugabe.

Reacting to the incident, the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) condemned the actions of Rev. Owusu Bempah and demanded for his arrest.

Speaking to this in an interview on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', ACP David Eklu confirmed receipt of complaint from the GJA and said the police will initiate criminal process against Owusu Bempah.

"We have received the complaint and we have invited him to the CID headquarters today (Monday, 18th March 2019); we will begin a criminal process afterwards," he indicated.

Meanwhile, the Police has also invited Owusu Bempah over allegations against former President John Mahama.

A former National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Kofi Adams petitioned the CID to invite the preacher over allegations that some people are planning to assassinate President Akufo-Addo and his vice, Dr. Bawumia.

The petition which was submitted at the CID headquarters Wednesday, 13 March 2019, said: “The Rev.
