Kintampo Accident: Some Cars Don’t Deserve To Be On Our Roads – Kofi Adams

Former National Organizer of the main opposition National Democratic Congress [NDC], Kofi Adams has said if commercial vehicles are carefully checked by the rightful authorities, some road accidents could possibly be averted.

Mr Adams however urged the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority [DVLA] to with immediate effect implement a policy to will help “clear off” unshaped cars on our roads.

“The DVLA must do their work well. Sometimes you will see a car on the road and you will ask yourself, how did this vehicle pass the roadworthy test?  Some cars don’t deserve to be on our roads,” he said on Asempa FM while discussing the recent kintampo accident.

Three separate road accidents – one in the Bono East Region, the other in the Central Region and Accra-Kumasi road, have claimed the lives of close to 75 people, 35 of whom were burnt beyond recognition and about 50 others have also sustained varying degrees of injuries.
