Cape Coast Polytechnic wins GHAPSA 2010 Games

Cape Coast Polytechnic on Saturday emerged the overall winners of 22nd Ghana Polytechnic Sports Association (GHAPSA) 2010 Games. They won 14 gold medals, eight silver and six bronze medals to beat their closest rivals, Accra Polytechnic who won 11 gold, seven silver and 11 bronze medals to emerge second in the competition hosted by Ho Polytechnic. Takoradi Polytechnic came third after they won eight gold, 10 silver and seven bronze medals, followed by Kumasi Polytechnic with six gold, six silver and nine bronze medals. The fifth position went to Sunyani Polytechnic with six gold, four silver and 10 bronze medals, Tamale Polytechnic came sixth with four gold, two silver and two bronze medals followed by Ho Polytechnic with two gold, 10 silver and six bronze. Bolgatanga Polytechnic came eighth with one gold, one silver and one bronze medals followed by Koforidua Polytechnic with three silver and five bronze medals while Wa Polytechnic settled for the 10th position with only three bronze medals. Kumasi Polytechnic won the men final football match when they beat Cape Coast Polytechnic 4-1 in penalty shoot-out after playing one all in regulation time.
