Afigya Sekyere East MP Donates 400 Mono And Dual Desks To Sekyere South Education Directorate

The Member of Parliament for Afigya Sekyere East Constituency, Hon. Mavis Nkansah Boadu has fulfilled her promise of her furnishing every classroom which requires furniture throughout her constituency.

She has presented 400 mono and dual desks to the Sekyere South Education Directorate to help reduce the deficit of furniture in the classrooms. 

According to her, it is in fulfilment of her promise to the constituency to give them a thousand furniture and so the 400 mono and dual desks to Sekyere South Education Directorate form the first batch, promising to present the rest within the next few weeks.

"It's unhealthy to see pupils clouded on a desk at the classroom, it actually impedes smooth instructional hours," she told Peace FM's correspondent, Omono Asamoah in an interview.

Meanwhile, the Sekyere South District Director of Education, Mr Appiah Amankra receiving the furniture on behalf of the directorate, eulogised the legislature for her immense contributions towards elevating the standard of education in the entire district. 

He went on to state that, the furniture would be of huge benefit to the schools in the district, adding that other deficits in infrastructural development must also be tackled to curtail the hurdles confronting education in the district.

He further made a clarion call to the government and other cooperate organizations to run to their aid to find an antidote to their mobility challenges.
