CID’s Invitation “Questionable” . . . But Ofosu-Ampofo Will Take An “Action” – Lawyer
A member of the NDC’s legal team, Baba Jamal says his party Chairman, Mr Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo will respond “appropriately” to the CID after an invitation to investigate him.
The Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service on Wednesday May 8, 2019 invited Mr Ofosu-Ampofo for questioning over recent fire incidents and kidnappings in the country.
“Intelligence gathered indicates that some of these kidnappings and fire outbreaks are being orchestrated by unidentified groups, persons and individuals. Some of the persons picked up for interrogation and investigation have mentioned your name as part of a grand scheme designed to cause fear and panic in the country,” the statement said.
Baba Jamal who was speaking on the issue on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’ described the invitation as “questionable” – but said, “We [NDC legal team] have advised him on what to do so he will respond to them. He will take an action.”
