NPP Loyal Ladies Assaulted At Suhum 2016 Campaign Season Honoured (PHOTOS)

The Loyal Ladies of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) who were assaulted during a house-to-house campaign at Suhum in the Eastern Region have been honored.

Members of the Suhum branch of Loyal Ladies were on Tuesday October 11, 2016 attacked by thugs suspected to be sympathizers of the then NDC government for accusing the then MCE, Mrs. Margaret Ansei.

The young ladies had gone for a house to house campaign and just when they were about wrapping up their activities, thugs from nowhere surrounded them, demanding to know which of them had called the Municipal Chief Executive of the area, who’s also the NDC’s Parliamentary candidate, names.

The ladies then sought refuge at the Suhum chief's palace but the thugs chased them up and assaulted them and some chiefs who were in a meeting.

In the process, some of them were manhandled and had fractures on their legs, following which they reported the incident to the Police and were given medical forms to receive treatment.

The president, Nana Appiah, on his facebook Wall praised the gallant ladies for standing out for their right.

Over the weekend I joined the MP, MCE, Eastern Region and Suhum Constituency NPP to honor the galant ladies who stood up to the bully of the NDC during the 2016 electioneering campaign.

You will recall that a group of NPP Loyal Ladies campaigning in Suhum were ambushed and brutally assaulted by NDC thugs.

These ladies sought refuge at a police station but the police were soon overrun by the thugs and sent the ladies back into the streets.

They eventually went to seek refuge at the Chief's palace.

I used the occasion to remind them that never again should we allow another woman to go through the humiliation they went through by allowing the NDC back in power.

The NPP cherishes their sacrifice and the party will always reward hardwork.
