Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Cynthia Mamle Morrison and for deputy Minister for the same Ministry, Rachel Appoh have condemned Prophet Badu Kobi’s ethnocentric comment.

Cynthia Morrison on Adom FM’s news indicated that the Man of God’s comment should be treated with the contempt it deserves. She mentioned that the founder and leader of Glorious Wave Ministries International preached out of the doctrines of Christianity, an action she finds worrying.

“It wasn't a good statement . . . What's wrong if you use your husband’s money when he has it. Using your husband’s money doesn't mean the description that he gave. It is just unfortunate . . . .This doesn't represent Christian values, it has nothing to do about preaching.

“I don't know whether he has a problem with his wife or his sister and he wants to put his frustrations on all women. Ghanaian women are strong women. If he has a problem with his wife he should not channel his frustrations on all women,” she told Adom FM.

For her part, the former Deputy Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Rachael Nana Adwoa Appoh called on Prophet Badu Kobi to apologize for his unguarded comment.

She also disclosed that she is highly disappointed in Badu Kobi’s ethnocentric statement which has gone viral.

“Prophet Badu Kobi's statement was unfortunate . . . I am highly offended as a Fante on what he said. He should apologize to all the tribes he mentioned,” she said.

Rachel Appoh, therefore implored the Gender Ministry, Chief of Staff and women holding higher positions in the country to condemn Prophet Badu Kobi’s remark.

She was worried about how the Gender Ministry hasn’t released any statement to that effect.
