Kwesi Pratt And Nana B Clash Over Founders' Day Celebration

The controversy surrounding the Founders’ day seems to have emerged again after it’s maiden celebration on August 4, 2019.

Founders’ Day is now a statutory public holiday celebrated on August 4th annually.

This was after the passing of the Public Holiday Amendment Bill into law on March 2019.

Prior to this, September 21st which is the birthday of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana's first President was regarded as Founder’s Day.

Meanwhile, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the Convention People’s Party (CPP) and other historians have kicked against the celebration of August 4 as Founders’ Day.

Discussing the issue on Tuesday's edition of Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', the National Youth Organizer of the NPP, Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B and the Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr could not come to an agreement; both had different historical views.
