Sole distributors of Boxer of Bajaj two-wheeler and three-wheeler motorbikes and vehicles in the country, Somoco Ghana, have launched the much-anticipated motorbike contest, Boxer X challenge.
The Boxer X challenge which is organized by Somoco Ghana is an endurance course challenge aimed at testing out Boxer series motorbikes and the riding skills of bikers in Ghana.
The Boxer 125 also known as the champion of rough roads with a strong 125cc engine, a sturdy suspension, mud-grip tyres and a mudguard can ride one through and across rough terrains.
The Boxer X Challenge was launched with the aim of giving bikers across the country a chance to experience the Boxer 125 firsthand and also educate them on road safety and traffic regulations.
The 2019 Boxer X challenge features a 4-obstacle setup which consists of sand heaps, rocks, tyres, mud pits, ramps and a passenger carriage stage.
An average of 60 bikers registered and participated for free in each event which consists of four rounds; a qualifier which is open to all participants, a quarter final, a semi-final and the finals which has the passenger carriage twist. The passenger carriage twist involves a motorist riding with a passenger across multiple obstacles to test their riding and safety awareness skills.
Over 400 riders have participated so far in seven events at Madina, Pokuase, Ablekuma, Ashiaman, Ada, Dansoman and James Town with Asamankese and Kasoa to go.
Each event has provided exciting memories and moments to both the bikers and spectators as well and has also served as a platform to educate the bikers and the general public on road safety.
The semifinalists of each location earn a certificate and discount coupon whiles winners, ranging from the 4th to the 1st person receive a certificate of participation, a discount coupon for any Bajaj product, a microwave, a blender, refrigerator or a 40-inch television set.
The finals of the Boxer X challenge comes off on the 24th of August at Kasoa with over 30 bikers all gunning for the top spot, the bracing right and a brand-new Boxer 125 Motor bikes.
