GNPC Foundation Supports ASEDA Foundation To Train Artisans

As part of Ghana National Petroleum Cooperation (GNPC) Foundation’s mandate under the Economic Empowerment unit which is to identify and train Artisans to equip them with the necessary skills to earn a living.

The Foundation has agreed to pay the registration fees ofover Four Hundred (400) students of Aseda Foundation who are due to complete this year.

This gesture was in response to the request put forward by Aseda Foundation to let GNPC Foundation help in the following areas: register the first batch of trainees to go through their National Vocational Training Institute(NVTI) examination in September this year, provide tools or equipment for graduates to set them up, train more of the youth in the second phase of the project.

The artisans are trained free of charge over two(2) years in various Technical and Vocational skills such as Photography, Shoe Making, Decoration, Hairdressing, Catering, Fashion, Masonry, Carpentry, Painting, Steel Bending, Plumbing,Welding, Spraying, Aluminium Fabrication, Fitting, Air Condition Repairing, among others.

The Executive Director for GNPC Foundation, Dr Dominic Kwesi Eduah in his speech at the event stated that his outfit is ever ready to assist improve the livelihood of persons in this direction. “This support to register 400 students to write their NVTI examination will not be a flash in the pan but will be in a continuum in order to realize a remarkable change in the way of life of the people of Ghana”, he said.

Dr Eduah assured the students of his firm believe that the Board of Trustees of GNPC Foundation will approve their request in full at the next board meeting and that will see the commencement of the second phase of project.
He urged them to be very serious and focus on their training lessons and desist from deviant activities suchlike prostitution, robbery, smoking, truancy and stealing.

The MCE for Effia Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly (EKMA), Hon Kojo Acquah who was the Chairman for the occasion could not hide his joy of this holy matrimony between GNPC Foundation and Aseda Foundation, promised to provide free examination centres for the final year students to write their examination.

The Founder and CEO of Aseda Foundation, Madam Diana Adjei was of full of praise for GNPC Foundation for coming to their aid.
