Training of Thugs Allegation Is A 'Non-Starter' . . . Mahama Should Know Better - Atik

Atik Mohammed says allegations being levelled by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is training thugs ahead of election 2020 is a 'non-starter'.

The allegation which was initiated by former President and presidential candidate of the NDC, John Mahama has been described by the ruling government as 'baseless and mischievous'.

However, the NDC insists they have evidence to back their claims.

Reacting to this on Thursday's edition of Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', Atik Mohammed who is the General Secretary of the People's National Convention (PNC) said Mahama, "being a former commander-in-chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, should have known that you don't just make such allegations without any evidence. Even if there was any evidence he should have sent it to the appropriate quarters".

"As for the training of thugs allegation, by the NDC; it's a non-starter," he added.
