Rooney Is The Best Forward In The World - Egypt Goalkeeper El-Hadary

Veteran Egyptian goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary believes powerful England forward Wayne Rooney's recent form proves he is the world's best. Egypt take on Fabio Capello's Three Lions at Wembley on Wednesday evening, and El-Hadary will be the shot-stopper charged with nullifying Rooney's prolific predatory instincts. The 24-year-old striker racked up nine goals during England's World Cup qualifying campaign, and has been equally effective for Manchester United. "Rooney is one of the best forwards in the world, if not the best," the Pharoah proclaimed in Mirror Football. "He dominates games and is definitely up there with the top five. "He has all the attributes and England now have Rooney, Crouch, Heskey, Lampard, Gerrard who are all special players, are great going forward and can score goals." Although Egypt recently won their seventh African Cup of Nations title, they surprisingly failed to reach the finals of the World Cup tournament, due to be staged on African soil for the first time this summer.
