Amen Scientific Hospital Embarks On Campaign Against Stroke
Amen Scientific Herbal And Alternative Medical hospital on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, visited the dome market to educate traders on stroke prevention, treatment options available in Ghana's Health facilities.
This was part of an awareness campaign against stroke as the world celebrated ‘World stroke day’ on October 29, 2019.
The team of Medical Staff was led by the CEO of the hospital, Sheikh Dr. Amin Bonsu.
Speaking to traders, Dr. Amin Bonsu emphasized the need to adopt a healthy eating lifestyle; avoid excessive salt intake, fat, and cholesterol. He urged them to exercise and keep active, avoid unnecessary stress, control anger, and depression.
He also expressed worry about the alarming rate of stroke admissions in Ghana's health facilities especially the age ranges which now include people as young as 12 and 13 years getting affected by stroke.
He cautioned members of the public to be critical about their health and ensure frequent checkups.
There was also free health screening and free medications for the traders with disease conditions.
