Famous Pastors Who Have Been Gripped By The Police

‘Men of God’ are expected to follow good moral principles as preached by the bible. However some of the pastors have been gripped by the police for disobeying constitutional laws.

Below are underlisted famous ‘men of God’ who have been gripped by the police.

Reverend Obofuor

Reverend Francis Antwi aka Rev. Obofour, The founder and leader of Anointed Palace Chapel was invited by the Greater Accra Regional Police Command on 31st October, 2019, for allowing a man to smoke Indian hemp in his church.

Rev. Obofour called the man with marijuana in his pocket and ordered him to smoke at the church. He went on to deliver the person of the weed-smoking spirit that possesses him after he was done smoking.

According to Rev. Obofour, he was possessed by the Holy Spirit and it was the Holy Spirit who ordered the young man to smoke the wee during the deliverance service and not him.

Bishop Obinim

In August 2016, Founder and leader of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim was arrested by the Tema Regional Police for allegedly defrauding a man of GH¢11.6 million.

According to the police, the complainant gave an amount of GH¢780,000 to a ritualist to do a spiritual ritual to bless the money, but after sometime, the ritualist was not able to help him neither was he able to refund. He, therefore, went to Bishop Obinim to report the matter and help him retrieve the money.

Bishop Obinim asked him to bring an amount of GH¢11.6 million to help in retrieving the money from the Okomfo. However, after the complainant gave the money to the Bishop, he was not able to retrieve it from the fetish priest.

Owusu Bempah

The founder, leader and General Overseer of the Glorious Word Ministry, Rev. Owusu Bempah, was invited by the Police CID for questioning for allegedly threatening another man of God.

Rev. Bempah reportedly threatened to cut short the life of Pastor Appiah both spiritually and physically.
An audio recording intercepted by rainbowradioonline.com, had the voice of the controversial man of God, threatening Pastor Appiah.
Pastor Appiah said, ''You will hear from me after threatening my life.''

He later reported the threat case to the police.
