Late Chairman Didn't See Demonstrators; He Was Already Hospitalized ~ Niece

The demise of Honourable George Kyei-Baffour, the Asante Akyem Central Constituency Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party has sparked series of rumours to the effect that a demonstration organized by some NPP youth in Asante Akyem Central Constituency caused his death.

Contrary to the vile propaganda being thrown out there, a niece to the late NALAG boss, Maame B, in an interview with Adom News, said her uncle was already sick long before the said demonstration.

Narrating what happened before his death, Maame B indicated that the late George Kyei-Baffour was already hospitalized at the Konongo Government Hospital and could not have even heard about the demonstrators.

She further pointed out that her uncle had been with that ailment for years and could not have passed away as a result of any demonstration staged in the constituency.

She has, therefore, discredited the rumour making rounds that a demonstration by the youth in the Constituency over party nomination forms caused her uncle's death. She added that he even recovered from the sickness but died soon after.

The Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem Central, Kwame Anyimadu-Antwi, also confirmed in an interview with Kessben FM that the late Chairman fell sick at his sister's funeral and was rushed to the Konongo Government Hospital before being referred to KATH where he passed on.
