"Refocus And Redirect" - Kweku Baako On Mahama's COVID-19 Response Team

The Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Kweku Baako Jnr., has asked the NDC's COVID-19 response team to 'refocus and redirect'.

The response team, according to former President Mahama, would lead the party’s public advocacy and sensitization activities on the coronavirus pandemic. The team will also collaborate with the ruling government upon request.

The press conference was also held to outdoor the team.

Kweku Baako in reaction to this on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo' said even though the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) had all the right to form a group, the impression should not be created "that it is only political actors who are exclusively giving out information".

"Let’s be honest with ourselves unless you want to play the ostrich . . . the impression should not be given that some of the questions posed have not been asked earlier and has not been answered; that’s unfair, completely unfair but this is democracy so they can freely speak . . . it is unfair to create the impression that it is only political actors who are exclusively giving out information . . . in principle, they have the right to form a response team but I appeal to them to refocus and redirect," he opined.
