Dr. Nduom, The CPP And The MSJ

It is quite worrying, the recent development in the CPP concerning Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom and the Movement for Social Justice (MSJ). In recent times, some people in the CPP have raised concerns about Dr. Nduom and his Movement for Social Justice. As the principles of freedom of expression dictate, these individuals have the right to be uncomfortable with any development in the CPP which belongs to us all. As a matter of fact it is very disturbing when a Leading member of the Party like Dr. Nduom is seen to be engaging in acts that are likely to further disintegrate the CPP. However, the approach adopted by these anti apostles in the CPP is unacceptable. Indeed internal groupings have demerits as well as merits. It is thus surprising that people are trumpeting nonexistent demerits of MSJ in the CPP whilst pretending as if they are unaware of groups in the party such as the Sankofa, Nkrumah Rising, Patriots, Osagyefo Youth Movement, etc. After observing and analysing the facts of the matter, I cannot help but resolve that the actions of these anti MSJ crusaders are with malice and mischief. Why would they see the MSJ as a parallel organisation to the CPP, yet keep quiet to the Sankofas, and the Nkrumah Risings. These two groups have been openly campaigning for Samia Nkrumah and are financed by them. If Dr. Nduom wanted to set up a new political party as they claim, why would he still be in the CPP? I suppose he should be out of the CPP by now and stopped contributing his ideas and resources when it is just 19 months away from general elections in Ghana. If anyone in the 4th Republic has suffered, sacrificed to ensure the existence of a party called the CPP in Ghana, it is Dr. Nduom. Without the movement formed by him, there would not be any CPP in most of the country. I should rather think that these cronies asking for disbandment and dissolution of the MSJ are looking for the demise of the CPP. It is difficult to understand why any individual or group of individuals would ask for an injunction to be placed on all Constituency elections nationwide, when only a small area seems to be experiencing some irregularities, which is generally present with all elections. Assuming without admitting, that the allegation made by some constituency executives in the Central Region is true, should it prevent the party from holding elections in all other parts of the country? What the CPP needs to do now, is to fast track the congress and election of a flag bearer so that we can know when and how to start campaigning. Time is fast moving. Long Live CPP Long Live Nkrumaism Long live Ghana
