Ace broadcaster and the Head of Programmes at UTV, Afia Pokuaa ‘Vim Lady’ and her Vim Foundation have shared food items to the elderly and needy people in the Yilo Krobo district as Coronavirus sweeps through the nation with its economic hardship.

The donation made possible with support from Goldcoast Matcom was to offer support to the aged and prevent them from going outside for food items thus exposing them to the Coronavirus.

The donation which was done at the St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Somanya, with the assistance of Father Bright Ohene Agyapong was open to all aged people irrespective of their religious backgrounds.

Ms. Pokua explaining her objective said the COVID-19 affects the aged more because of their preconditions, therefore there was the need to ensure that they stay at home during the pandemic
