NPP Primaries: Western North Regional Executive Committee Sets Out Rules And Regulations

The Western North Regional Executive Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), under the leadership of the Regional Chairman, Mr. William Benjamin Assuah, by this communique wishes to inform the entire public, particularly the Western North caucus of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and precisely, delegates within the region that, as earmarked by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party, tomorrow marks the day for the party's parliamentary primaries.

It should be noticed that the primaries shall not be held within the Sefwi Akontombra and the Sefwi Wiawso constituencies. Thus by popular acclamation, the leadership of the party has decided for the incumbents of these two constituencies to go unopposed. However, these candidates have been directed to engage with delegates within their respective constituencies.

Delegates and patriots within the Bibiani constituency are encouraged to ensure that there is utmost peace and harmony within the constituency so that we can continue to enjoy the peace we have. As much as there will be the provision of maximum security, all and sundry are encouraged to cooperate with persons in authority in a way and manner that will not bring the constituency and the region as a whole into any form of disrepute.

The Regional Executive Committee frowns on the rumors of candidates who plan on restricting delegates from going to the cast their votes should, just because they are not on their side. Delegates have their rights vote and for whom they so desire to, and it is an offense and will not be taken lightly.

Leadership assures that, the party shall make provision for all resources that will be needed to ensure their safety. Delegates and all stakeholders who shall be present are, however, advised to put on their nose masks and adhere to all the precautionary measures even as we battle our way through this season of Covid-19.

The Regional Executives wishes aspirants all the best in the contest and equally encourages them to cooperate with the electioneering process and seek redress if any, from the appropriate quarters. Let not this moment stir up any form of inappropriate behaviour that might affect the fortunes of the party within the region.

We encourage all patriots to keep their focus on the ultimate agenda; which is to maintain power by consolidating our gains as a party and also increase our winning margins in the general elections.

Office of the Regional Chairman, Western North Region.
