COVID-19 Fight: Some Chiefs And Opinion Leaders Are Hypocrites - Fred Agbenyo

National Democratic Congress (NDC) Deputy Director for International Relations, Fred Agbenyo has said the ruling government's measures concerning the COVID-19 fight have not been helpful to this nation.

According to him, Ghanaians would not be living in much fear and panic as the COVID-19 cases keep increasing if government had listened to advises not to re-open schools and also stopped the new voters' registration exercise.

Fred Agbenyo in an interview on UTV's 'Adekye Nsroma' political discussion programme tagged some Chiefs and leaders of this country who were very vocal during the past government's era as hypocrites for keeping silence over everything the current government does.

" . . We live in this country with hypocrites, and I say this because why are some chiefs and leaders who were at first vibrant in the dealings of the past government keep their mouths shut as if all is well with this government?"

He said the fact of the matter in this country is that members of the NPP are rated superior over every human being to the extend that they are the only beings with the authority to go against the laws of the state and go unpunished.

"Indeed, I am telling them that we (NDC) are ready to die for this nation in making sure the right thing is done, so we will never keep quiet," he lamented.

The NDC Communicator insisted strongly that President Akufo-Addo has never been fair to citizens of this country and have as well compromised every state institution from operating professionally without governments interferance.

"President Akufo-Addo and his government have never been truthful to this state, they are just concerned about  winning elections to stay in power."
