There’s No ‘Arrival’ In Music - Kidi To Colleagues

There are some artistes who think they have reached the peak of their career once they attain some stardom but for Lynx Entertainment signee, KiDi, there’s no such thing when it comes to music.
In his view, immediately an artiste thinks he is finally at the top, that is the day he or she falls out of the industry.

“I don’t think there’s a day to say I’ve reached there. The moment you start thinking you’ve gotten to the top is the day you begin to fall.

“That’s one thing I put at the back of my mind. I want to be a music icon so my songs have to reach every part of the continent. Until that is achieved, I won’t ever say I’ve gotten there,” he said in an Instagram Live chat with Graphic Showbiz.

Asked what he is doing to get to the top, KiDi said he is just striving to be a better version of himself.

“It’s just me being myself and I identify what is more important to me. I’m a musician before anything else. There will be distractions and all that but I always tell myself I’m a musician first so I have to make sure the end game makes me better as an artiste,” he stated.

Speaking on what he does and doesn’t like about his music, KiDi said he liked everything about his songs but hoped they would go global.

“I like everything about my music but I wish it reaches more ears around the world. Even with that, I believe it’s all about time. As an artiste I’m still trying to get to the top.

“People think KiDi is there but I feel like I’m not there at all. I’m still trying to get there, it’s a growth process so it’s all about time,” he said.

KiDi has songs such as Mr Badman, Say You Love Me, Enjoyment, Say Cheese, Thunder, Sugar Daddy, Adiepena among many others.
