NPP Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central constituency, Kennedy Agyapong has asked Ghanaians to blame former President John Dramani Mahama and his party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for most problems the country is facing in recent times.

The outspoken lawmaker believes the banking sector which has faced tremendous ‘tsunami’ over the years was due to Mahama’s bad leadership as President.

"They (NDC) messed up the banks completely . . ." he said.

According to him the greatest acheivement of the Akufo-Addo government is the consilidation of the banks.

" . . Because the backbone of every economy are the banks . . . if the banks collapse everything collapses, it was a timely intervention that he cleaned up the banking system, that is why we have a stable economy," he added.

He said the country has been able to handle the Coronavirus pandemic effectively because we have a very stable economy through the banking sector clean up.
